I cut around my heart, and carefully
lift it out, pushing it slowly
towards you.
Don’t worry, it is a neat incision,
there will be only a little blood.
The pain will not even last
very long, it will be replaced
by a sort of emptiness.
You might even catch me smiling,
but don’t be fooled.
