Finish your glass of water.
The belt comes off, then
the bra. You will begin
to sweat, saliva will pool
on your tongue like
a baptism. You will become
aware of your body
as a collection
of sloshing liquids. You will
become aware of each face
at the table, set
in your direction, blank
with unclear concern.
Excuse yourself
from their gaze.
